Mrs. Angela Sanders was born in Nashville, TN on March 14, 19XX
to Lee and Linda Washburn. Her Parents currently live in
Cincinnati, Ohio.
She is a graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Oak Ridge, TN and
the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE)
where she earned her B.S. in music education. She graduated
from the U of A in 1995 Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the
Alabama Million Dollar Marching Band.
Angela accepted her teaching position at Appling Middle School
in July 1995. She teaches sixth, seventh and eighth grades and
currently has approximately 170 students.

Angela and her husband, Bob Sanders, met at Appling School
during an open house on October 22, 1995. Bob was working for
the Bartlett Express and was at the open house to report on the
opening of the new middle school. Angela and Bob were wed on
July 11, 1998. Bob is now her Number 1 band booster.

In October 2002, Bob and Angela welcomed a new addition to their
family, a baby girl named Marlee.

She has become a familiar little face for all AMS band students
and parents and fun for everyone to have around.

In February 2005, Bob and Angela welcomed another daughter to
their family. Her name is Abigail.

In May 2006, Mrs. Sanders was named Shelby County's Teacher of
the Year. She is very deserving of this award for all the
time and effort she invests into Appling's band program and for
the great direction and motivation she provides for her students
.


Angela's favorite colors are purple and "TIDE
RED". She plays the French Horn in the Bartlett
Area Community Concert Band.
Her favorite foods are Japanese and Mexican. Her snack of
choice is Cashews.
